Hedda Jealous?

It kinda seems to me that Hedda gets kind of fired up with jealousy near the end of act 1 when Mrs. Elvsted comes over to the house and Hedda learns of the fling she had with Tessman. I noticed that she seems more annoyed with Tessman because she finds out about this relationship. Hedda seems to shown this annoyance when Mrs. Elvsted is chatting with her and Tessman and he repeats things to Hedda that mrs. elvsted has said seconds earlier and Hedda replies to him with things like, I can hear and I heard that, etc. She also acts really curious when she prys to mrs. elvsted on the reasons why she came all the way to town and such. I think that this might be one of the reasons why Hedda shows curiosity in Lovborg - and why she tells Tessman to write him immediately when the conversation between the three is going on - but I'm not exactly sure.

heddas also clearly very jealous and desperate at the end of the play when thea and george start working together on the manuscript. she goes up and asks isnt there anything you can use me for? and george says nope nothing, so hedda feels unwanted, but possibly more important to her, completely powerless.
